Potential Chinese investors have visited the Samara Region
Today in the Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region the meeting with potential investors from China took place. Alexander Kobenko, the acting vice governor – the Minister of Economic Development, Investments and Trade of the Samara Region, Stanislav Kazarin, the acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Samara Region – the Head of the Department of Information Technology and Communication of the Samara Region, Sergey Bogdanov, the founder of StartupSamara, representatives of the Chinese company and Russian dealers took part in the meeting.
Alexander Kobenko greeted guests from China and marked that the People’s Republic of China is one of the leading partners of Russia and the Samara Region in particular: “For the last three years we have been carrying out operation within the intergovernmental working group. It includes 14 regions of the Volga federal district and 6 provinces of Central China. All projects which we jointly realize are supported both by the Government of the Russian Federation, and by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. In general, our region works more than with 20 provinces of China, the Samara companies cooperate with more than 300 Chinese companies. We have experience of interaction in different branches: industry, medicine, information technologies.”
Stanislav Kazarin has marked that the Samara Region is the only region in Russia where there is a node of the international transatlantic telecommunications.
Alyona Urusova, the acting executive director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region, told the participants of the meeting about the investment potential of the region – about tax preferences for investors, investment sites and measures of the provided state support. Sergey Bogdanov, the founder of StartupSamara, explained to the Chinese guests ways of possible cooperation.
After the meeting potential investors from China together with the staff of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region went to the Togliatti SEZ. This site answers all the inquiries: existence of the ready industrial infrastructure, accepted electric power cost, tax benefits.
The Samara Region is going to stand the fight for the Chinese investments, but indisputable logistic and telecommunication advantages of the region are obvious.
