Samara Region’s tourist and recreational cluster is currently being formed. The most promising trend – a sort of the cluster’s core – is the Samarskaya Luka. This unique place is a specially protected nature and culture system, second to none, with many monuments of nature, history and archeology. This tourist and recreational center called Zhigulyevskaya Zhemchuzhina (Zhiguli Pearl) will allow not only to preserve the existing monuments of Samarskaya Luka and proactively involve them into leisure industry, but will also allow to recreate the conventional crafts and to solve a number of social objectives and the issues of transport access to the opposite bank of Volga.

Setting up of this cluster – is one of the primary trends of the Region’s economy. The most tourist resources and routes and a significant amount of tourist industry entities and potential employees are concentrated in the following areas of Samara Region: Stavropolsky, Kinelsky, Krasnoyarsky, Sergiyevsky and Volzhsky areas of Samara Region. To reach the set goals, it is needed to develop tourist business, renovate and open new tourist facilities, set-up the infrastructure. The main goals of this cluster would be increase of service quality, multi-level information system and comprise all the respective organizations.
