Aerospace cluster – is one of the economy’s high-tech sectors and it consists of two primary national systems or complexes: rocket-and-space and plane construction.

In includes companies, that design, produce and test flight vehicles and also maintains them.

Aerospace cluster consists of following subclusters:

• rocket-and-space;
• plane construction;
• engines and apparatuses construction.

The core of rocket-and-space subcluster is made of rocket-space complex TSESKB- Progress, Kuznetsov SNTK OJSC, GUP Automated Systems Design Bureau, Motorostroitel OJSC.

Plane construction subcluster was formed around Aviakor-Aviation Plant OJSC, that is part of the Russkiye Mashiny holding.

Subcluster of engine construction and apparatuses construction is formed around leading organization of Motorostroitel OJSC and Kuznetsov SNTK OJSC. Averospace cluster organizations make about 3% of Samara Region overall production output.
