Oil production cluster consists of oil production companies, service companies, research and design organizations. The cluster’s core is made of oil production companies lead by Samaraneftegaz (Rosneft). Within the period from 2000 to 2005, the accumulated oil production made up 66.3 MM tones, that is, overall production exceeded 11 MM tonnes.

Geological research assures that all of the region’s territory is for future exploration of hydrocarbons. The goal in the cluster’s development is to stabilize oil production on the level of 11.8-12.5 MM tones per year. This will require usage of the newest technologies for oil extraction on worked-out deposits, development of new deposits, reservoirs, fields, suspended wells recovery, development of virgin fields, exploration and production from big depths.

The reproduction of raw materials base will be done by the means of geological exploration that includes research and seismic exploration, geological environment monitoring, exploration drilling.
