Agro-industry cluster – is a special-purpose system, and is the most non-integrated compared to other basic clusters. It consists of 7 main subclusters: meat, grain, milk, seed oils, fruit and vegetables, potatoes, sugar beet.
The main element of the cluster is the product-technology chain. The development of agro-industry cluster is made by holdings, that will comprise a significant amount of production resources. The integral companies are the leaders of this branch, food and processing industry companies, trade companies and financial groups.
The holdings should become the essential players, that will determine the overall development of the agro-industry cluster.
The driving force of the agro-industry cluster will become the animal husbandry subcluster system, meat and milk production, in the first place.
The meat production subcluster is based on 3 main trends: meat poultry, pig farming and beef production.
